Our Pastor

Hi!  My name is Aaron Voss and I am blessed to serve as pastor at Living Water Lutheran Church in Wind Lake.

I am originally from Williamston, Michigan, where I grew up as the third of four sons born to loving Christian parents. My dad is a pastor, so I kind of naturally gravitated toward becoming one myself. That thought was cemented by my education. I went to high school at Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, Michigan, a preparatory school operated by the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) which encourages its students to think about being pastors and teachers. After graduating high school in 2007, I attended Martin Lutheran College in New Ulm, Minnesota, beginning formal study for the pastoral ministry. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2011. Later that fall I enrolled at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin, and graduated in 2015. As part of my seminary training, during the 2013-2014 school year I served as a vicar (pastoral intern) at Lord of Life Lutheran Church and School in Thornton, Colorado. That experience introduced me to a wide variety of ways that a pastor can serve both a church and a community.

After graduating seminary, I was assigned to be a tutor (dorm pastor and instructor) at Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, Wisconsin, another one of the ministerial prep schools operated by WELS. I served there from 2015-2017, where I was fortunate enough to do typical pastoral duties like preaching, teaching, and counseling. In May of 2017 I was reassigned to be pastor at Living Water.

My wife, Jenilee, is the head women's volleyball coach at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee. We live in Muskego with our two young children.

I am thrilled to serve Living Water Lutheran Church and am always looking for ways to serve you and the community, sharing the good news of free and full forgiveness won for us by Jesus Christ. If there is any way Living Water or I can serve you, please feel free to use our contact form or prayer request. God’s blessings!
