Music

Music plays an important role in worship at Living Water.  Music offers praise to God and can be exciting, inspiring, educational and consoling to the worshiper. Various groups and individuals all play a part in enriching worship services at Living Water.

Adult Choir

Our Adult Choir offers an opportunity for people to join with others to sing God’s praises.  The choir is open to confirmed members of Living Water who enjoy singing. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-8:30 pm from September through May.  The choir sings during Sunday worship approximately once a month plus special worship services.

Handbell Choir
Handbell Choir offers another opportunity to make use of musical talents.   This group is also open to confirmed members of Living Water.  Living Water is blessed to make use of 4 octaves of handbells plus handchimes.  Music reading ability is helpful, but not necessary.  Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 pm from September through May.  The choir rings in Sunday worship approximately once a month plus special worship services.

Children’s Choir
Children’s Choir offers the younger members of Living Water an opportunity to sing and make music.  The group is open to children who can read (grades 1-2) through eighth grade.  Rehearsals are held on Sunday mornings from 8:15-8:45 am.  Rehearsals include learning a song for an upcoming worship service along with musical activities to help develop the children’s voices.  The choir sings in Sunday worship approximately once every other month plus special worship services.

Instrumentalists
Instrumentalists play an important role in the music during worship as well.  Organists and pianists help lead congregational singing, while brass, woodwind, and string instrumentalists add variety to the music in worship. Small ensembles and solo vocalists contribute to musical variety as well.
