Today’s Prayer
The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen. —2 Timothy 4:18 (NIV)
Father, there is no better feeling than to know I am resting safe and secure in your arms. As a human being, there are things in this world that scare me. There are times when people hurt my feelings and times when I am really down. I only need to look to you, Father, feel your love and protection, and know that all will be well. No matter what happens to me, I can rest assured of my salvation through my faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ. Your plan is perfect and sometimes beyond my comprehension. Give me faith to believe and trust. Amen.
November Newsletter
Please pick up your newsletter in the narthex.
Senior Moments
Our November outing is coming up soon! We will be going to Delavan to see the Christmas Magic Dancing Horses show on Sunday, November 18 at 1:00 pm. The cost for both the horse show and the exotic bird show will be $27.50. We plan to leave immediately following Bible class at 11:30 am and will carpool to Delavan. We need to know how many will be going so we can purchase advance tickets, so sign up on the sheet in the narthex by November 4. You're welcome to bring kids and grandkids as this is a family-friendly show. If we have at least 20 going, we will get a discount on the tickets. Talk to Bob or Julie McGill if you have any questions.
Mission & Ministry Sunday
Thank you for your generous gifts in the door offering on October 21. As a congregation, we donated over $350 to Peridot-Our Savior’s Lutheran School. Please pray that God continues to bless the sharing of the Gospel on the Apache reservations.
Trunk or Treat Festival
Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to help at Trunk or Treat. Thank you to everyone who donated items for it as well. Please pray that God blesses our efforts to reach out into our community with the gospel.
Fall Back
Don’t forget to change your clocks this Saturday, November 3, as Daylight Savings Time comes to an end.
Advent by Candlelight
Ladies, please mark your calendars for Sunday, December 2 for Advent by Candlelight. Join us for an evening of delicious treats, great conversation, and meditative worship. Hostesses are needed for the evening. Hosting a table includes providing decorations, including candles, and place settings. Please sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex or contact Tracy Hankwitz or Janeen Roska for more information.
Scrip Order
Whether you are planning a Thanksgiving dinner, shopping for winter clothes, or just looking for a dinner out at a restaurant, you can raise funds for our Tuition Assistance Fund by using scrip. Scrip is a program where you buy gift cards at face value—there is a large variety of stores and restaurants that participate in the scrip program. A percentage of the gift cards is donated to Living Water. Those funds are added to our Tuition Assistance Fund. Order forms are available in the narthex. Orders are due next Sunday, November 4. You can also order Scrip cards online.
Secretary Office Hours
Janeen Roska will be in the office for her typical hours on Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 pm and Friday from 1:30-3:30 pm.
