Today’s Prayer

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,  and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.—Revelation 1:5b-6 (NIV)

Dear Jesus, it’s hard to imagine a love so great that you would set aside your golden crown to come into this world and shed your blood to cover all our sins.  Now with our sins forgiven, we are members of your kingdom and royal priests.  Fill us with your Holy Spirit so that we may live as priests, serving the Father as he so deserves to be served.  May we never tire of giving you praise and honoring your power.   To you be the glory. Amen.
