Today’s Prayer
But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. —Jeremiah 17:7,8 (NIV)
Dear heavenly Father, always be my confidence, keeping my faith firmly rooted in Jesus Christ and renewed by the Holy Spirit. As a tree planted beside water does well in heat and in drought, so may I stand firm when adversity overcomes me. Help me to dig deep into your word so I can hold my ground. Fill me with the correct words to use when being tested. Allow others to see you through my words and actions. For all the trials that I will find myself facing, keep me anchored in Jesus and do not let me be shaken. Amen.
