Today’s Prayer
"But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful."
—Luke 6:35-36 (NIV)
Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus you have shown us your undeserved kindness. Moved by that, help us to live the way your Son, Jesus, lived. Help us to love the unlovable and treat everyone as we would want to be treated. As we teach our children to live by the golden rule of loving their neighbor as themselves, may we also live by this rule. Father, may we keep our eyes on you and show love, kindness, and mercy toward everyone, just as you have shown to us. May we live as your true children and leave Christian foot prints everywhere we go. Come, Holy Spirit, show us the way. Amen.
