Today’s Prayer

Because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.—Isaiah 43:20a, 21 (NIV)

Dear heavenly Father, how breathtaking to be declared your chosen people.  You formed each of us individually and by your specifications.  We are yours. Why, Lord? Why are we here?  Why did you make us?  Is it with joy that you form us and call us your own? Does it delight you to give us food, water, and shelter? For all of this we cannot help but praise you, thank you, and proclaim you.  Send your Holy Spirit upon us that we may shout your praise all the time, everywhere, and in any circumstance.  This we pray in the precious name of Jesus.  Amen.

Three Words of Truth

Our final midweek Lenten worship is this Wednesday at 6:30 pm. Pastor Kujath from St. Paul’s East Troy, gives us another reflection on "Three Words of Truth."

Midweek Fellowship Meal

A free, fellowship dinner will be held on Wednesday beginning at 5:30 pm.  Soup and sandwiches will be provided by WinGS this week.  All are welcome!  If you would like to bring a side-dish or dessert, sign-up sheet is in the narthex.

WinGS Meeting

Women in God’s Service (WinGS) will be meeting today, Sunday, April 7, following Bible Class.  All ladies of the congregation are welcome at the meeting.  Hope to see you there!

Share the News

Easter for Kids and Holy Week worship are great opportunities to invite friends and family.  Flyers that you can share with a co-worker, a neighbor, or anyone else are available in the narthex.  Take as many as you need.  Pray that God would bless our efforts to share the good news of salvation with our community.

Easter for Kids

Easter for Kids will be 10 am - 12 noon, this Saturday, April 13. The free event is for children, ages 3-10, from both our congregation and community.  It provides an opportunity to have fun with crafts, music, and an Easter egg hunt. Most importantly, they'll learn how Jesus defeated death for them!  Registration is available on our church website. We are looking for helpers on the event, floaters who help accompany the children throughout the event. Contact Pastor Voss if you are interested in helping that way.

Easter Breakfast

Easter breakfast will once again be served between the Sunrise and the Festival worship services.  Ham and rolls will be provided.  To help us plan, please sign up in the narthex if you are planning to come.  If you are willing to bring a dish to pass, please sign up in the narthex as well.  Volunteers are also needed to set up on Saturday and to clean up after the meal.  Please contact Nancy Gitzel if you are able to help in either of those ways.

Easter Flowers

Easter flowers are available for purchase.  The flowers will decorate the altar area on Easter morning; families are welcome to take them home after the 9:00 am service.  More information and order envelopes are available in the narthex.  Orders are due next Sunday, April 14.

Easter Crosses

Share the good news of Easter with your neighbors with a cross to display in your yard.   Crosses are available in the narthex for a suggested donation of $5.

Scrip Order

You can raise funds for our Tuition Assistance Fund through your regular shopping—gas, groceries, and more.   Scrip is a program where you buy gift cards, and a percentage of the gift cards is donated to Living Water.  Those funds are added to our Tuition Assistance Fund. Order forms are available in the narthex.  Orders are due, today Sunday, April 7.

Good Friday Worship

Good Friday will use a Tenebrae ("darkness") service which impresses on us the consequences and price of our sins. To maintain a solemn atmosphere, lighting is minimal, and we will meditate in total silence before the service. When the service concludes, worshipers leave in silence (without being ushered) or may remain for quiet meditation and prayer. God bless your Lenten and Holy Week worship!

Rummage Sale

The annual church rummage sale will be on Saturday, April 27.  Drop off times for your unwanted items will be April 22-26.  If you can’t get your items to church, please contact Sherry Dahl at 262-271-4948.
