Today’s Prayer
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord. They rejoice in your name all day long; they celebrate your righteousness. —Psalm 89:15,16 (NIV)
Dear heavenly Father, it is so good for us to be here in church today celebrating the empty tomb in which our Savior, Jesus Christ, had been placed Good Friday. Let us shout for joy and let the entire world know that Jesus lives and that salvation from sin, death, and hell is offered for all people through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Fill us with your Holy Spirit so we may always walk with you, rejoicing in your presence, in our forgiveness, and in our future resurrection. Show us how we can best celebrate your absolute awesomeness. Thank you for blessing us with your presence in our lives, for the knowledge we have of you through your Word, the Bible, and for your grace so freely given. Alleluia! Christ is risen! Amen.
