Today’s Prayer
Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” —John 20:21 (NIV)
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for the peace and joy that is ours through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Now that our feet might be back on solid ground, after the joyous excitement of the empty tomb on Easter Sunday, push us in the direction in which we will best serve you. Do not allow us to tarry, but just joyfully follow you, wherever you are sending us, using the unique gifts you have blessed us with. May we listen quietly for your voice and follow it. Amen.

Senior Moments
will be taking a tour of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Milwaukee's Walker Point neighborhood on Tuesday, May 14. We will meet at church at 9:00 am and carpool to St. Peter's for our 10:00 am tour. Following the tour we will be going to lunch at Wegner's St. Martin's Inn in Franklin. St. Peter's is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The current church building, a Victorian Gothic style, was built in 1885. There is also an 1873 parsonage, an 1879 school, and an 1898 social hall. This should be a very interesting tour! Sign up on the sheet in the narthex. Senior Moments annual fish fry will be on Friday, May 17 at 5:00 pm at Doc's on the Fox in Waterford. Sign up on the sheet in the narthex.
Camp Phillip Door Offering
There will be a door offering to support the ministry at Camp Phillip on Sunday, May 12. Camp Phillip provides “Renewal in Christ and Relaxation in Creation” through school field trips, summer camp programs, and weekend retreats. For more information on their ministry, visit www.campphillip.com.
Upcoming Worship Schedule
Due to Confirmation on Sunday, May 19, Holy Communion will not be celebrated that weekend. Holy Communion will be celebrated on Sunday, May 26. There will not be worship on Monday, May 27 due to Memorial Day.
Scrip Order
You can raise funds for our Tuition Assistance Fund through your regular shopping—gas, groceries, and more. Scrip is a program where you buy gift cards, and a percentage of the gift cards is donated to Living Water. Those funds are added to our Tuition Assistance Fund. Order forms are available in the narthex. Orders are due Sunday, May 5.

Seminary Scurry
Your seminary welcomes you to join us for this family event at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. Come explore the beautiful WLS campus in a 5K run/walk and Kid’s Dash. We invite you to stay afterwards for a FREE Cookout Lunch and to take a tour. Weather permitting, we will have a free bounce house and face painting. Lutheran Chorale of Milwaukee Spring Concert
Join the Lutheran Chorale of Milwaukee for a concert of sacred music on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2:00 or 4:30 pm at St. John's, Wauwatosa. The theme is "Jesus, Our Refuge" and will feature choral favorites, audience participation, brass and timpani. A freewill offering will be collected. Save Lives One Step at a Time:
Save lives one step at a time with the Life-A-Thon! Hosted by WELS Lutherans for Life, this walk/run event will be held on May 11th at the Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary! Participants can choose between a 5K run or a two-mile walk, and there will be a ¼ mile run for kids! Proceeds from this event will directly benefit the pregnancy clinic operated by WELS Lutherans for Life and help provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes, and material support for clients.
