Today’s Prayer

In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever! “—Revelation 5:12-13 (NIV)

Dear heavenly Father, it has been but two weeks since the tomb in which Jesus had been buried was discovered empty.  We now know Jesus was truly the Lamb of God, slain for our redemption; he is true God and true man, now sitting in heavenly glory and so very worthy of receiving our praise. “To the Lamb be all praise and honor and glory and power.”  We now look forward to the day when Jesus will come again – the day when all who recognize the Lamb, will be called home to heaven, and there bow down before him with praise and adoration forever.  Come, Lord Jesus, come!  Amen.
