Today’s Prayer

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
    but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
    and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
—Proverbs 31:30-31 (NIV)

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for creating women.  All that you have created is beautiful and according to your purpose.  When you created woman, she was created in your very own image, desirable to male, and as his help mate. A woman with true inner beauty loves you, honors your law, and serves you and others.  Please bless all women who joyfully serve you in whatever capacity you have given them. Thank you, Father, for women who give their all to make their homes, communities, and the world a better place for others to live and enjoy.  Thank you for granting women warm hearts, generous spirits, and boundless energy.  Amen.

As in years past, we can make use of personal equipment that you’re willing to bring and lend – rakes, trimmers, power washers, etc. It’ll be rewarding work and fun fellowship!

Summer Bible Class

Our summer series for Sunday morning Bible class begins on May 26. These classes are designed to be shorter (around 30 minutes), and the content is structured so that entire families can attend, from children to great-grandparents. We'll review key characters and accounts from the Old Testament, better understanding God's salvation history and applying these accounts to our modern lives. If you don't regularly attend Bible class, this is a great way to try it out! There is never any pressure to read or talk out loud; just grab a drink and snacks and sit with us as we find answers in God's Word.
