Today’s Prayer
He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.' Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.” —Luke 24:44,45 (NIV)
Dear heavenly Father, open our minds so we can clearly understand the Scriptures. Help us to seek answers by searching your Bible. Fill us with the Holy Spirit to open our minds in order that we may know and understand how the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus are the complete fulfillment of the Old Testament. May this closer understanding of your Word fill us with a yearning to praise you more and more. Grant us opportunities to share you with others. In the name of our ascended Savior we pray. Amen.
Welcome!
Today we have the privilege to publicly welcome new communicant members into our midst! Dan & Sheryl Hanke recently moved to Big Bend and have transferred their membership here. Please introduce yourself to them and pray that we at Living Water may be a blessing and encouragement to their faith in our Savior God.
Summer Bible Class
Our summer series for Sunday morning Bible class is underway. These classes are designed to be shorter (around 30 minutes), and the content is structured so that entire families can attend, from children to great-grandparents. We'll review key characters and accounts from the Old Testament, better understanding God's salvation history and applying these accounts to our modern lives. If you don't regularly attend Bible class, this is a great way to try it out! There is never any pressure to read or talk out loud; just grab a drink and snacks and sit with us as we find answers in God's Word.
