Today’s Prayer
But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. —1 Corinthians 6:11b (NIV)
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, to cleans me of my sins. But Jesus not only washed me, he also sanctified me – set me apart as holy– and justified me – declared me righteous in your sight, Father. Father, I have done nothing to deserve this. It is all freely given to me through grace by faith. Thank you for considering me worthy enough to save me. Thank you, Jesus, for loving me so much that you would die on the cross and rise again to save me. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for bringing me to faith. Please keep me there. Amen.
