Today’s Prayer
They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. —Revelation 22:4,5 (NIV)
Dear heavenly Father, I look forward to the day when I will see you face to face. At that time you will know I am yours because, through baptism, you have imprinted your name on my forehead. And your light will shine so bright that there will no longer be a need for lamps, sun, moon, or stars. Father, I am thankful to be present now in your majestic creation, but I realize my limitations in seeing your true glory, majesty and greatness. Father, give me perseverance to continue on and patiently wait for the day when I can live in your light forever. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Recognition of Baptism
Elijah Lee Schultz was born to our members Dan and Kari on July 1 and was baptized in the hospital that same day. Today we publicly recognize how, though baptism, our Triune God has forgiven Elijah's sins and made him a child of God. We pray for God's blessings upon Elijah, Dan, Kari, and the rest of their family!
