Today’s Prayer
“From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me,” says the LORD. —Isaiah 66:23 (NIV)
Dear heavenly Father, when was the last time I bowed down before you? Am I too proud, too lazy, or too self-conscious to bow down and worship you? Teach me to listen and then obey the times your Word tells me to bow down and come close. Give me courage, time, and motivation to bow down. May my worship at all times and in all places and in all ways be acceptable to you, Father. Fill me with the Holy Spirit to lead me to worship you always, not just one day of the week. Amen.
Monday Worship Schedule
There will be no worship on September 16 due to Pastor attending a symposium. The regular Monday evening worship schedule will resume on September 23.
Tough Questions, Gospel-Established Answers
There are few things worse than not being able to answer an important question, especially spiritual ones. Whether it's talking with someone or just doing some soul-searching, it's painful to be uncertain. We've begun a Bible study series on Romans which will help us answer tough questions. Each week, the Holy Spirit will give us gospel-established answers that help us tackle the tough questions others ask us about our faith... and the questions we ask ourselves. Today's question is: "What does God say about homosexuality?"
Handbells Begins
The handbell season has begun this past week, and we are looking for new ringers high school age and older. If you can count to 4 and know your right hand from your left, we'd love to have you give it a try! We play once a month for worship on Sunday mornings. Questions can be directed to Tracy Hankwitz.
Senior Moments Planning Meeting

Adult Choir
After many years, Neil Hankwitz has stepped down from directing Adult Choir. We thank him for his many years of faithful service! Rehearsals for this year will begin in October with Janeen Roska as the interim director for the year. If you enjoy singing and Christian fellowship and can carry a tune, please consider joining Adult Choir. If you have questions, please contact Janeen Roska.
Voters Amend Projector Replacement
On September 8, the voters adopted a resolution to replace our current projector with an HD TV set on each chancel wall and to keep the current angle of those walls, per professional recommendation. This is an amendment to the July resolution which called for the walls to be squared off. The plan is to have work begin on September 16 and completed by September 22 at a cost under $11,000.
