Today’s Prayer
One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. —Psalm 27:4 (NIV)
Dear heavenly Father, I realize that I came into this world with nothing and I will leave this world with nothing, so there is only one thing for me to strive for while living and that is to know, love, and serve you. As I go through life I see your beauty in a sunrise, fresh flowers, the face of a baby, majestic mountains, and waterfalls. All this pales in comparison to how it will be seeing you face to face and never having to leave your presence or stop worshiping you in heaven. But while I am still on earth, may I continually seek you through Scripture, prayer, and worship. Keep me close to you, Lord, and lead me to tell others about you. In the name of Jesus I ask this. Amen.

Fall Back
Don’t forget to change your clocks—Daylight Savings Time ends next Sunday, November 3.
In The End
End of life questions unsettle us, and millions around the world wonder if climate change soon will end the world. Thankfully God did not leave us guessing about what happens to us at the end of life or at the end of the world. We dedicate November’s four Sundays to topics that deal with the end of our earthly lives and the end of this world, and God makes it clear – in the end, everything for the Christian will be OK.
