Today’s Prayer
Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake. And you also are among those Gentiles who are called to belong to Jesus Christ. —Romans 1:5,6 (NIV)
Father, can it be so simple? We are saved through faith in Jesus Christ by grace alone. Why? We are sinners. Is your love for us that great? You loved us so much that you sent your Son to be born as true man of a virgin so we too can be saved by his later death and resurrection. Father, keep our faith strongly rooted in the gospel. Help us to keep our eyes turned toward heaven and the eternal glory promised us there with you. Thank you, Jesus, for your great unselfish love. We pray in your name. Amen.
