Today’s Prayer

Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism, but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.” —Acts 10:34-35 (NIV)

Dear heavenly Father, I have no right to come into your presence since I am a sinner.  You are the almighty Creator of the heavens and the earth.  What can I be to you but a small, minuscule creature in the vast universe?  Sometimes I compare myself to others and wonder why you would pay attention to me. But, Father, I trust your Word which tells me that you know each of us by name.  In Jesus, you show no favoritism and love us all equally.  You desire for each of us to come to know you and serve you by doing what is right.  I pray, Father, that you will send your Holy Spirit to lead us to do your good and perfect will.  In Jesus’ name I pray.   Amen.

New Bible Study Series

Beginning today, Sunday, January 12, Sunday morning Bible study takes on a book-study format to examine Jesus' life according to the Gospels. The book is entitled When Christ Walked among Us (NPH 2012). Over the next three months, our readings in church will cover Jesus' life and ministry up to his death, and this Bible study will be a great way to shed more light on that, making our Epiphany, Lent, and Easter worship that much better!

WinGS Meeting

Women in God’s Service (WinGS) will have a Fast 15 meeting today, Sunday, January 12 in the library between worship and Bible class.  All women of the congregation are invited.  Hope to see you there!

Jesus Cares Ministries Sunday

Pastor Joel Gaertner, who serves as the National Director of Jesus Cares Ministries, will be our guest
preacher on Sunday, January 19.   He will also lead worship with a special order of service often used in Jesus Cares Ministries' settings.  Our congregation has served individuals through Jesus Cares Ministries for over ten years.  The national Jesus Cares Ministries program supports local churches in developing a program and with materials that can be used in the program.  There will be a freewill offering to support Jesus Cares Ministries.

A Bunco Party

We would like to invite everyone in the congregation to join us for fun, food and fellowship. You don't have to be a senior to join us! Sunday Prayer Group

Before Sunday worship a group meets in Pastor’s office to pray. We pray for all members of Living Water We present to the Lord any prayers requested that week, as well as for missionaries and Christian leaders, for family members who have lost faith, for comfort and healing during illness, for healthy Christian families, and the list goes on. Above all, we praise and thank God for hearing our prayers and answering them. We would love to pray specifically for you. Prayer requests can be made to Pastor personally, on the prayer request form in the pews, by email, or on our website. Prayer requests will be kept confidential. You are also welcome to join us any Sunday!  We begin at 8:30 am. Contact Nancy Kedzie-Wilson with any questions. To God be the glory!

Chancel Update Committee

We are looking to form a committee to discuss different options for updating the look of the chancel space. Painting the back wall, installing the banners, replacing the carpet will all be up for discussion. Pastor has offered to kick off the meetings with Bible study on worship and the chancel area. If you are interested, please contact Jeff Roska.
