Today’s Prayer

For who in the skies above can compare with the Lord? Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings? In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; he is more awesome than all who surround him. Who is like you, Lord God Almighty? You, Lord, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you. —Psalm 89:5-8 (NIV)

Dear Lord God Almighty, I come before you in awe of your greatness.  You are above all the earth, and all heavenly beings -- surrounded by those who fear you -- honor you and adore you.  Let me join in the heavenly choir singing your praises, for you alone are worthy of praise.  Count me among those who stand in awe of your majestic splendor, mighty power, and faithfulness now and always. Amen.
