Today’s Prayer

O God of power and might, you know that we live in the midst of many great dangers, and in our frailty we cannot stand upright. Give us strength and protection to support us in all peril, and carry us through all temptations; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Living Water News

Ash Wednesday, March 5 - The Season of Lent begins on March 5. We will have Ash Wednesday worship with Holy Communion on March 5 at 6:30 pm. A fellowship meal will be served before the service, beginning at 5:30 pm. There will be additional Wednesday services on March 12, 19, 26, and April 2 and 9.

Facebook Presence Living Water is looking to ramp up our social media presence on Facebook. The goals are to highlight the work of our church and members, to increase public awareness about Living Water, and to give the gospel to more souls. To that end, you may see us taking pictures at things like fellowship, worship, and organization events. These pictures may be posted to Facebook with the above goals in mind. Here’s how you can help:

  • Sensitivity – If you do not want your image to appear online, please let Pastor Voss or Tim Gauerke (Outreach Team Leader) know so that we can honor your wishes.
  • Send photos to Tim Gauerke (414-241-9961 / timbog1979@yahoo.com)– If you’re part of an event, send day-of pictures to Tim Gaurke, along with a brief description. Tim can then post the photos.
  • Notify Tim Gauerke about future public events – If a Living Water group is hosting an event for the public, send Tim information at least a week before the event so it can be advertised.
  • Pray! – Please pray for our outreach efforts and that the Holy Spirit bless those efforts.

Recurring Gifts to the Joy Campaign The Pledges and Gifts Committee is pleased to report that gifts to the Joy Campaign now total over $933,000! If you are making recurring gifts specifically to the Joy Campaign, you are asked to note that in some way. Here are some options:

  • Monthly Gift in Joy Campaign Envelope – Church  has supplied envelopes with the Joy Campaign logo. You might make separate monthly gifts and put that gift in a Joy Campaign envelope.
  • E-Giving – Via our church website, you can give online to the Joy Campaign. Go to and hover the “Get Connected” tab. From the dropdown menu, select “Online Giving” and scroll down to find the contribute button under the Joy Campaign logo.
  • Memo on a Check or Regular Giving Envelope – If you are increasing your weekly offerings by a certain amount, you might leave a note on a check’s memo line or on the weekly envelope to indicate how much is for the Joy Campaign.

The Pledges and Gifts Committee thanks God for the blessings he has given to our congregation and for your commitment towards this project. We now ask that he continue to bless us as we work toward our downpayment goal.

Treasures in the TrunkWinGs (Women in God’s Service) will be hosting Living Water’s first ever “Treasures in the Trunk” Rummage Sale. All members are invited to participate in selling items to raise money for the Wind Lake Community Fireworks and the WELS Disaster Relief Fund. The rummage will take place on Friday June 6 & Saturday June 7. Participants are welcome to join in selling their items during one or both days of the event. We will also be having a bake sale, plant sale, some free yard games, and prayerfully enough volunteers to have a hot dog, brat, or burger sale to provide something for all family members to enjoy as we raise money to help our community and share the news of Jesus to anyone who stops in. If you are interested in participating or have questions, please contact Carlee Beier for more information.
